Group Executive: Public Sector Publishing
The role of the Group Executive: Public Sector Publishing is to increase our company’s share of the public sector advertising spend.
Working with my team and closely with the research unit, my area of focus includes the following:
- interacting with senior politicians at national and provincial level with a view of enhancing their understanding of our company, positioning Independent Newspapers as the only logical destination for government advertising, including ad-spend from parastatals and institutions of higher learning;
- to venture into provinces that did not advertise in our newspapers; and
- to create a comprehensive communication solution for the various government departments – in all the three spheres of government – by working closely with other components of the business.
